Do you identify as TRANSGENDER, GENDER NON-CONFORMING, and/or some other NON-CISGENDER GENDER IDENTITY, and want to share your story with a trans-affirmative research group?

We are researching how trans individuals experience and respond to discrimination related to their gender.

To participate, you must (1) be transgender, gender non-conforming, and/or non-cisgender; (2) currently reside in the U.S.; (3) be 18 or older; and (4) have started your gender affirmation/transition process (for example, dressing most of the time as your identified gender for at least the last 6 months).

If you are interested in participating, you will first complete a brief (approx. 2-5 minute) screener, which will determine if you are eligible to participate in the research study.

If you are eligible, you will then complete a consent form and an online survey (approx. 10-15 minutes). After completing the survey, you will be entered to win one of four $25 gift cards (sent via email).

After completing the survey, you will be invited to take part in an anonymous, audio-only (no video) Skype interview (approx. 90 minutes) about how you experience and respond to discrimination related to your gender. After completing the interview, you will be sent (via email) a $30 gift card. Given time and financial constraints, however, participating in the Skype interview will be limited to a pre-determined number of individuals.
